Sunday Worship
Sundays 10-11 AM
At the church
We gather every Sunday morning for heartfelt worship, communion at God's open table, and time together afterward. Can't make it out to Spicewood? We stream the whole service live, and you are just as welcome from your couch as from a pew.
Find us at 2106 Bee Creek Rd, Spicewood, TX 78669.
What is worship like at Spirit in the Hills?
You'll find a joyful and welcoming community passionate about sharing the overwhelming love of God and how we have experienced it at work in our lives. Our worship is heartfelt, inspiring, anchored in tradition while remaining familiar and fresh. Worship involves the whole family and there are opportunities for people of every age to be fully involved. An invitation to hang around after worship and truly meet others who worship here, usually over a light snack or the occasional potluck celebration.
What should I wear?
This is a frequent question when it's our first time attending a church. The short answer is whatever you feel comfortable wearing while worshiping God. Most Sundays you'll see some folks wearing shorts and short sleeves (we are by the lake after all) and some in business casual while most will be somewhere in between. We believe that being present together in worship is far more important than what anyone wears to worship on Sunday mornings.
Children in worship
At Spirit in the Hills, we believe that worship is for all of God's children. Children of every age are welcome to fully participate in worship, and parents with young children can feel comfortable knowing that the sounds of children are part of our joyful praise.
Communion?
Every week we share bread and wine at God's table (gluten-free and non-alcoholic options available). Jesus is the host, so everyone is invited to come, taste, and see that the Lord is good.
Sunday School? (aka Faith Formation Gatherings)
We have a Sunday morning opportunity for adults to learn and grow in faith and love. We begin together at the front of the worship space at 9 AM.
Anything else?
Spirit in the Hills is a community that is sacred but not stuffy. We are casual but caring, we are contemplative, and we don't shy away from challenging one another to live out God's extraordinary love. There is a place for you here. That means the whole you, your joys and struggles, your doubts and questions, your gifts and talents, every part of your identity and personality. You can read more about who we are on our About page. Be sure to contact us with any questions, or just to chat.
