Formerly referred to as food stamps, SNAP helps people with low incomes and resources buy the food they need for good health. A program of the Travis County Health & Human Services and Veterans Service, The Congregate Meal Program provides a place for older adults to gather for games, physical activity, conversation and a shared nutritious lunchtime meal.

Services: Provides emergency financial assistance with rent (including first month's rent and rent for transitional housing), mortgage, utilities (gas, electric and water), grocery store vouchers (for food only), and prescriptions.
